My Mom

Last night's fiasco got even worse since I last wrote...

My mom went to the hospital, and they found out that something was very much wrong with her. They said she was having seizures and that she had an aneurysm. She also possiblly had to have sugury last night. I don't know much else other than what my stepdad called and told me last night, but please pray for my mom. She's so sick, and I don't know what to do. I've never been big on praying. So I'm asking for help. Thank you.

Happiness = Despair???

It's moments like these where I realize why I'm afraid of being happy.

Today, I had one of the best moments in my life. I finally got a really good part in our school's fall play. A great part in fact! Plus, my favorite show was FINALLY coming back on, hopefully with a great premiere. I was so excited, I was feeling on top of the world. Then, my mom started not feeling well. I thought it was just hot flashes. She gets those frequently, so I kinda didn't think about it. But then she starts feeling worse. Now when my mom is uncomfortable or feeling pain, she tends to get angry with ME at ANYTHING. I mean anything. For example, I had forgotten to put the water in the fridge last night, so there weren't any cold ones today. Boy, was she upset. Now, while I get chewed out all the time by my mom, lately, it's been more and more, and I'm not enjoying it. In fact, the past few nights, I've been crying myself to sleep or counting myself to sleep to keep my mind off the life I live. It's my way of dealing with my depression, instead of doing other things.

Now, my mom is getting worse, flailing around screaming in pain, so we call a nurse. The nurse says to go to the hospital, but now my mom doesn't want to go. She throws at fit! Yelling "I don't want to go!!" Acting like a child. We finally get in the car and she's still saying "I don't want to go!!" over and over again. By then I've almost lost it, I tell her to shut up. She yells, "You shut up!" Then says to my stepdad, "She's been saying hatefull things to me all the time!" So i get out of the car, and run for the door. I yel back, "I'm staying here then!"

I get inside, close the door, and break down. Literally. I fall to the floor and sob. I sobbed like I only have a few times in my life. If any of you know me, you know that I'm not really big on crying. Only recently I've been letting myself cry for the small things. But this is big. My life is falling apart before me and the sadness inside me is screaming to be pulled out. I can't do anything but cry to try to get it out.

It seems that whenever ANYTHING good happens or when I'm feeling amazing and just having a great day, shit happens to me. But not just little shit, like we're out of milk and I can't have mac & cheese. No the HUGE crap that knocks you off your feet picks you back up just to knock you back down again. Hell, maybe even a third time. This is why I sometimes don't allow myself to do things that would make ME happy bc I know what happens right after.

I usually don't write stuff like this, and I'm sorry if it makes you feel uncomfortable. I just really needed to vent and write this out bc I have to deal with these feelings I have in a productive way.

Warehouse 13 - Duped

~~~~~
This week's episode of Warehouse 13 was titled 'Duped'. It is the 9th episode of the first season on SyFy. Yep, SyFy is the new SciFi channel. Now, this series sparked my interest when it was mentioned in an article of TV Guide. It talked about how this show was extremely similar to X-Files and Bones. Wow, I thought, those are my two favorite shows. I don't think I'll mind a show with the same elements. And I fell in love. Yes, it is VERY similar to the two shows, but it also has it's own personality. The goal for each episode is for the two main characters, Pete and Myka, to find an artifact that has special powers, and return it to Warehouse 13, thus, the title. To make it short, as Artie would say, "Snag it, bag it, and tag it."
This blog is a review of this week's episode so moving on...
The ep starts off with a clip of Pete and Myka fighting over the artifact, but we never see what it is. Then the caption says, 14 hours earlier. Pete and Myka are taking inventory in the warehouse, well Myka is. Pete is playing ping pong with a mirror that plays back with him. Myka and Pete argue but notice the mirror is falling. Myka catches the mirror, but a disco ball knocks over and lights are projected everywhere. Something happens with the mirror and Myka but we can't really tell what yet. They put everything back and go have a meeting about an artifact that needs to be found. This week's artifact in Las Vegas.
Myka and Pete go to Vegas. We see Myka getting ready and she's dressed up to the nines!
And Pete's seeing Myka in a whole new way. Haha. They discuss what they need to do. Myka seems a little different. She's looking at her reflection in a strange way. They go to the casino and check out their suspects. They decide to split up with Myka watching them and Pete checking out their room. Pete checks the room, not finding anything. In the meantime, Artie and Claudia are cleaning up the stuff that got knocked over earlier, and they lift up the mirror, to find Myka stuck in the mirror. Artie thinks it's just a shadow projected on the mirror from the light of the disco ball, but Claudia thinks differently. She decides to make a laser machine, to help try to communicate with Myka. It works but Artie still doesn't believe it's Myka. He believes it's Alice (Alice in Wonderland) because it's Lewis Carroll's mirror. They contact Pete to see if Myka is acting strange, but he claims that nothing's out of the ordinary.
Artie and Claudia eventually figure out that the real Myka IS stuck in the mirror and try to warn Pete. Pete and "Myka" follow their suspects to their room. The man, kisses the woman and drops a golden poker chip in her purse. She turns around and goes to the casino. To not look suspicious in following them, "Myka" turns and kisses Pete, to look like a couple making out in the hallway. As soon as the woman turns the corner, "Myka" pulls back, Pete is in shock. Definite sexual tension there. ;)
"Myka" says to split up that she'll take the guy and Pete should go to the woman. Pete goes to the woman and explains that artifact is dangerous and he needs to take it. She complies and tells him that it shows you the future. (Sweet!) But it eventually makes you sick.
"Myka" kicks her way in the hotel room with the guy in it and ties him up. She talks to herself in the mirror saying that she should have broken the mirror when she had the chance. She also talks about how the poker chip could help her escape and kill everyone she needed. Pete gets a call from Artie explaining what's going on with Myka and he heads to the room. Next we see the scene that was shown in the beginning and "Myka" kicks Pete's ass. She escapes and goes to the warehouse. She goes to destroy the mirror, but Artie and Claudia are already 2 steps ahead. Pete shows up as well, ready to help. They shoot the laser at the disco ball causing what happened earlier and switching Alice back to the mirror and Myka out. Myka sees Pete and hugs him thankfully.
She also turns and hugs Artie, but we all squee at the Pete/Myka hug. :D Aw! Well, to avoid another incident, they cover up the mirror and block it. Don't want that Alice escaping! SHE IS EVIL! Look at her!
After thoughts: Well this was an amazing episode. Not only did we get some shippy moments b/w Pete and Myka, we got a crazy Alice! Now a lot of moments really reminded me of a Bones episode. The episode in season 2 titled "The Woman in the Sand". Now we didn't get a kiss in that ep, but we got Brennan in a dress almost identical to Myka's. AND we get a Booth admiring that dress, just like Pete. Here's a pic of the dress and reaction..
See? The dress is super close! AND they were in Vegas! Brennan and Myka even looked similar...
But that's about it. The cases were COMPLETELY different.
Thanks for reading! I'm having a blast with these reviews and I hope you do too! If you have any recommendations on what you'd like me to review leave a comment. Thanks all! TTYL.
Review of 'The Last King of Scotland'
One thing you'll learn about me, is that I like to review movies, TV shows, books, things like that. So I'll be doing a review of a movie called "The Last King of Scotland". I recently bought it and have yet to watch it. For this review I'll post what's going on as the movie goes along and give my final thoughts.
And the movie starts...
Movie starts in Scotland 1970. The main character (Nicholas) seems to have graduated from college. He lives at home and seems unhappy. He goes to his globe, says the first place you land on is where you go. He spins the globe, gets Canada, spins again, gets Uganda. And he's off to Uganda.
He explains to the people that he's a doctor and he wants to help the people there. He arrives in the town, where he meets Sarah (Gillian Anderson). She's the wife of another doctor, Dr. Merrit. It seems it is a busy time, they have a new president, General Idi Amin (Forest Whitalker).
Nicholas persuades Sarah into going to "see the new boss". They go to see the new president Amin. The locals seem to praise him like he's God. They think he's their savior. He really connects with them saying he's a "simple man". After Amin's speech, Sarah asks to leave, she seems quite uncomfortable. She explains in the car, that they cheered the same way for Obote, the last president "who turned their economy into a personal bank account".
The suddenly get called back, the president was hurt. He helps him with his hand, while the cow he hit is moaning behind him. Finally frustrated, Nicholas grabs Amin's gun and shoots it. Everyone is shocked, but Amin is impressed. He learns that he's Scottish, and asks to have is shirt, having Scotland's flag on it.
Later that night, Sarah and Nicholas discuss the incident and they seem to have chemistry. Sarah claims that nothing can happen, that her husband is a good man. They bond over having good men in their life and how it makes the feel "like shit". Nicholas bends down and kisses her, but Sarah runs off saying that she can't.
President Amin asks Nicholas over to his place. He asks him to be his personal physician. He politely declines saying he has obligations. He opens up to Nicholas, about his childhood. Nicholas changes his mind and takes the job. He calls Sarah to tell them he is taking the job, she seems disappointed.
While Nicholas works for the president, he also works at the local hospital. Amin pulls him in deeper to his work. Amin, while seems like a God on the outside, has something evil down inside. I'm beginning to really think that Sarah was right, he's just as dangerous as Obote, if not more.
Amin's actions are starting to seem like a dictator. People who speak out against the regime are disappearing. Nicholas doesn't believe at first, but then he realizes it's true. He becomes afraid and tries to leave. But now Amin won't let him. He says that he still has work to finish. It's scary, he brain washes people and blinds them with money and luxury.
Amin's youngest wife and Nicholas become lovers, and soon she is pregnant with his child. She will be killed if Amin found out, so she goes to get an abortion. When Nicholas finds her, he finds her dead body, killed by Amin's people. Nicholas boldly confronts Amin about his regime and secretly plots to kill him. Amin finds this out and reveals he knows about him and hims wife's affair. He plans to kill Nicholas, but Nicholas' medical colleague Dr. Junju saves him and sends him off to Britain to tell about Amin's regime and his horrible plans. The ending reveals that Amin's regime has killed many Ugandans and eventually died in exile.
Thoughts:Wow. Intense movie. It's funny how I stumbled upon this movie at this time. I sadly see a lot of similarities to different past and present governments. I don't want to get into a political discussion with anyone so I'll end that topic now. All in all, the movie was beautifully directed. There were a lot of odd shots that I loved. I'd be interested in reading the book. After reading up on this story, it seems that while the story is true, the character Nicholas is loosely based on an English man named Bob Astles. Now while the reason I got this movie was because Gillian Anderson was in it and she wasn't in it as much as I would have liked, it was a great movie and I like it a lot. I think it has a great story and can teach everyone something. Forest Whitalker.
Thanks for reading! I hope everyone enjoyed it and will now go rent this movie because it is amazing. And for the X-Files fans, Gillian Anderson is in it! So you have to see it!
Sorry to all
So I tried talking to my dad to see if I could come home early and unfortunately it can't work out. I am here at my dads house to watch my brother so it's here I have to stay. The only way it could work, is if Ryan and I went to my moms house and my mom watched him. However, Ryan will be staying with her all next week while I'm in school. If we made it a week in a half, it would be too much for my mom, but especially Ryan.
I won't be home until the 30th. So I can't go to the bondfire or the therepy session. :( And what I'm really sad about is that I can't see my friend Becca off to college. I promised her I would make it work, but i can't. I am so sorry Becca. You have no idea how much I want to be there. I feel we became good friends this summer. I'll never forget this summer because of you. You gave me rides almost to everything! You made my birthday special. And you were just a good friend to me. I know we will still keep in touch, but I hope you do come up and visit us. If at all possible I'll bring the whole gang down, when I get my lisence, to visit you. I'll miss you so much Becca. Have fun at college. You'll rock that place.
To everyone else, I'm sorry I'm missing so much. I feel like I'm disappearing from missing so much. I hope y'all don't forget me. I miss you guys so much!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, you have no idea. Feel free to text me, contact me via Facebook, send me videos, anything.
Ok well bye for now everyone. TTYL.
Hey there!
Hello everyone!
So a couple friends of mine started on of these and it looked like fun. So now I got one!
Just some info about myself...I'm 17. I'm a senior in high school. I love to sing and act. Drama is my favorite class. My favorite quiet pass time is reading or watching DVD's. My favorite TV shows are X-Files, Bones, Warehouse 13, 10 Things I Hate About You, Law & Order: SVU, and Gilmore girls. I want to study Forensic Science when I go to college. I aspire to be a crime scene investigator. I want to help the families who never get to know who killed their loved one.
My guilty pleasures are reading and writing fanfiction (fanfiction.net, fluky.gossamer.org), watching fan videos (youtube.com), and making my own fan videos (http://www.youtube.com/user/gmgrls0gg). I recently got a digital camcorder for my birthday and have started taking videos from it as well. So I have another channel for those (http://www.youtube.com/user/basketmakerxf).
This summer I was in a musical in my local community theatre. The musical was "Anything Goes". It was the best experience I have ever had! I made a bunch of new friends and learned so much. Currently, I am spending time at my dad's house in Escondido, CA. I watch my brother while my dad and stepmom work. I'll be blogging a lot about being here for the next week or so. I'll also be blogging about the Cal Hi Drama Board which I am historian of. Yay! That will be keeping me busy all year, and I love it!
Hope you have enjoyed my load of nonsense that is me! More to come soon!
Bye bloggers!
